If your Website is not seeing the volume of traffic you desire. Then its time to reconsider. You should always be a step ahead of your competition, so increasing your Website traffic should have been done yesterday.
We all know timing is an essential part of any plan. But to be successful generating traffic, you MUST always be on your toes, and always a day ahead of competition. please do not think of today and tomorrow as a starting point for Website traffic, you should always think yesterday, your already late getting traffic.
To help you in in your quest to generate more traffic to your Website, here are (7) surefire ways to increase traffic, beginning from yesterday.
1-Buy advertising on search engines
Google Adwords and Yahoo Overture both provide excellent advertising venues that are very popular and assure good traffic. Unfortunately, this surefire way to traffic costs a bit of money. But, though some say shy away from spending money for traffic, it is logical in this case, because Adwords and Overture advertising are reliable ways to increase your traffic.
2- Trade, or Exchange Web Links
Exchanging web links with other web sites, results in both of you enhancing your traffic. basically, when one web site features another website, each can provide one another with traffic. The effort can be doubly beneficial. The more links you trade the more traffic can be expected.
3- Viral Marketing
Viral marketing is a way you can spread the word about your company, products and services, without little costs. This is sneaky marketing; for example, you can attach your company’s name, products, services or web links to a media such as a funny video, entertaining game, a free download, an interesting article, gossip or buzz. Using this method, people tend to get infected with creativity and entertainment afforded by the medium, so they pass it on to many friends, family and business associates.
4- Use proper keywords, and phrases
Search engines search for keywords. This is why having the right keyword and keyword phrase selection is required to ranking high in most search engine results. To master this, you can write your own content or you hire a professional service.
5- Drag traffic to your Website. Write Some Articles
Submit your articles to web sites that contain the similar subject to your niche. If you sell books write articles about books. Attach your Website description and services your offer at the end of the article, with a link.
6- Join online communities
You can capture a market, show your expertise, and increase your credibility. People will trust you and your web site, passing it on to friends, family and business associates. Naturally, your traffic will increase because they believe in advance, you will provide what they want and need.
7- Offer A Newsletter
The more people know about your company, the more they share with others, you’ll receive loyal traffic which will can provide you with even more traffic through recommendation. If you can arouse curiosity, your customers will help you with your traffic.

Many Webmasters have been trying to master the “Page Rank” game and perhaps the most common target is to get placement on Google search engine. So, just how does Google do it? What does it take to get a good page rank in Google’s eyes?
Well that is something much easier to guess about than to actually know. You see millions have been working for years to figure that equation out. But Google’s page rank system is a closely guarded secret, and changes as the days and months go by. Naturally, if any Webmaster actually had that knowledge, it would be so very easy to manipulate your positioning in Google or other search engines.
Well, I do not claim to know the secreat either. I eman, I can and do very often get great results in Google, very fast. But, I can’t say I have Google’s formula. But, the experts at “Smart Page Rank” think they have a handle on the basic equation. So Webmasters, have a look, seems pretty good to me. So check it out….(opens a new window)—> CLICK HERE
Naturally, the information is useful, but is itsi not the easy road to high search engine results. In fact, contrary to popular belief. It does not take a PR7 to get into Google’s front page. It takes planning and hard work.

What’s with the Baby Shoe…? August 23, 2008

Many years ago, we had a client come to us and ask if we could help with marketing his shoe store. He has a very nice, well stocked footwear store in a small rural area of about a 120,000.
He had been in business for about 7 years and while he had grown, he wanted more. he wanted to expand to cover the area better. he had one store in one town in an area composed of four smaller communities.
After a little talking, I realized that he had carefully compiled a detailed bio on every child and family he had serviced for 7 years. All neatly written on 3×5 cards. He knew names, birthdays, shoe sizes, gender, favorite colors, and family details.
What a gold mine I thought. So I immediately asked can you tell me how many children will need shoes next month. He responded, give a minute.. realizing that his information was the key to solving his request. I set out to develop my plan.
I instructed him to go get a good bulk purchase of children’s shoes and to be certain to order with his customers sizes, colors and other preferences in mind. Because we were going to get them to come see and buy his shoes as soon as they arrive.
The plan was simple. We designed a 9×10 postcard with two small slits in it. Between the slits, we randomly printed 10% – 20% – 30% off coupon codes. I then had the printer produce business cards that were the shape of a baby shoe, with the phantom of laces, and such, but still a business card for Gannon Shoes. The business card was then placed into the the two slits, so that it would not fall out, and covered the discount value.
The rest is now history… we mailed these simple post cards to the momies of 500 children who had visited before. I had him write a small note, say hi to Billy, or looking forward to seeing Mary on each.
He sold out his new shipment, and continuing this strategy, he soon openned his second shoe store in the next town over.
Again, simple, “Made You Look Marketing”
A Run on Talking Calulators August 23, 2008

Many years ago a client came to me and asked how they could increase sales of office supplies. The company had been selling office supplies for more than 20 years in asmall community of four near by cities. The total population was not more than 120,000 so these were very small communities
They had a lot of inventory that had not sold in more than a year. They had 3 competitor officie supply companies, and the economy was not robust at all. never the less. They needed to get out of debt, and they knew that more sales was the answer.
I employed many techniques to make things happen. But, here we will detail a bit about the most successful tactics. things that worked well off-the-net 20+ years ago. BHut can still work today and even be adapted to the internet.
The Talking Calculator
In the early 1980’s the Talking Calculator was a new and curious technology. Heck, there were not many personal computers, and many people had just gotten their first breifcase mobile telephones, just under 11 lbs, and good for 2hours on a charge.
So one bright sunny day I gave each of the sales personnel a talking calculator, and sent each of them to see 10 clients in their offices, for a friendly visit. I told them to say hello and suggest that we could make them very special offers on everyday supplies. But to jump right to the calculator and start clicking away while they talk and figure out the savings.
naturally, the customers were facinated with the talking calculators, and after the first three client visits, each of the salespeople returned with order, and apologizing that they had been forced to sell their calculators to the fist 1,2 or third customer..
One of the best sales months that company ever seen. With a run on talking calculators and bulk office supply sales.
Too me, simply “Made You Look” selling…

For many years my lovely wife and I have been working together in marketing, advertising and sales. Not just for our own companies but professionally for our clients in three advertising agencies we long since sold off
Many times over the years we have seen the little twist that ‘Made You Look”. You know what I mean… can be a the right color or colors, the right picture, words, sounds, smells. Whatever made you look. So we are dedicating this BLOG to the concept of ‘Made You Look” marketing, advertising and sales strategies.
We have pretty much always used some form of “Made You Look” (MYL) strategy in our daily careers. We would say, that it is the difference betwen our successes and those of others in whatever area we focus. So, this philosophy will be a common theme in this BLOG.
